Luciana was brought up at home in Rome with her grandparents - Luciana's father was Manlio Paoluzzi, an Italian Army officer, and her maternal grandmother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was once one of Benito Mussolini's lover's wives. It is not known if she had having siblings. Luciana graduated from a local high-school in 1955 and went on to study naval engineering in Milan at the Scientific Academy of Milan. Luciana, the only female in her class, was the first to be a graduate. Within two years she began her modelling career. Shortly after that she got a chance to appear in Three Coins in the Fountain when she was in Rome visiting a friend of her father. Brett Halsey was the first person she was married. He's an actor. They completed Return to the Peyton Palace together after their 1960 wedding. Luciana had the custody of Charles born on 13 June 1961. They divorced the following year. Luciana was in a relationship for a long time with Tony Athony. He was an actor and film producer. Tony was inspired by her role in Green Slime to create the Spaghetti Western.
